06 Oct Pre-Settlement Inspections
The pre-settlement inspection is the buyer’s opportunity to ensure that the property is being handed over in the same condition that it was in when the contract was signed. The seller is required to maintain the property to the same standard that it was in at the time that the contract was signed. The pre-settlement inspection is not an opportunity for the buyer to negotiate on price or raise any new issues but their opportunity to ensure that the property is ready for settlement and hand-over.
