Contract Signing

In contract signing, is it necessary to sign all of the pages of the Contract?

Yes. Contracts in relation to land must be in writing and signed by all parties to the transaction. It is important that all of the pages of the Contract are initialed by all parties and the last page signed and witnessed. Any changes made during the process of Contract signing should also be initialed by all parties to the transaction.

TIP – Contracts are now able to be electronically signed provided certain conditions regarding the identification of the parties signing are met and their consent to the electronic signing process is given prior to the signing of the Contract.
